John Mihalyo is the founder and CEO of Elementary Advancement Solutions, a consulting firm dedicated to helping Catholic and faith-based schools grow in enrollment, strengthen their leadership, and build thriving communities rooted in mission. With more than 20 years in school administration—including 15 years as a Catholic school principal—John brings a deep, practical understanding of what school leaders face every day.
Since launching Elementary Advancement Solutions, John has partnered with schools in 18 states and across 3 countries. His clients have seen an average enrollment increase of 19.6% and more than $1 million in new advancement revenue. His work centers on simple, sustainable systems that move schools forward—without overwhelming their teams.
Before founding EAS, John led major initiatives in the schools he served, including establishing two Advancement Offices, securing more than $1.8 million in funding, and overseeing a $6 million renovation project. During his tenure as principal, his schools experienced an average enrollment increase of 24% while strengthening their identity, culture, and community engagement.
John’s approach is rooted in collaboration. He has worked closely with pastors, bishops, superintendents, and diocesan leaders across the country, helping them navigate the unique challenges of Catholic education with clarity, strategy, and a deep respect for mission. His goal is simple: help school leaders feel confident, supported, and equipped to lead their communities well.

John is a founding board member of the ICSN, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a mentor for the LAUNCH Apex Program. He lives in Apex, North Carolina, with his wife Theresa and their two children.
